Measure out the proper proportions of heated water (at least 30ºC/80ºF) and Cerium Oxide into a container and mix thoroughly.
Slurry temperature should be maintained between 32ºC and 40ºC (90ºF and 105ºF) for optimum performance.
Depending on how much water you mix with will depend on the abrasive quality of the paste. If you want a more aggressive paste mix with only a little water, if you are looking to just polish the glass surface then mix with more water.
Clean the glass surface to ensure that all dust and stray particles have been removed. Fit a felt polishing pad on the backing pad and apply half a tea spoon size amount of the cerium oxide slurry to the middle of the polishing pad and place the face of the pad on the glass. Start the rotary device. Keeping the polishing face flat against the glass, move the device slowly from left to right, up and down. Keep a nice even pressure against the glass as you move the pad over the glass. After a few seconds of polishing, milky looking slurry will form. Continue polishing until the slurry is dry. Spray a bit of water to the pad or glass and repeat this process as many times as necessary until the glass is visually clear. Wipe the surface clean and inspect carefully. The glass surface should now be crystal clear.
